1. Scope

This policy explains what information BRDG ("we") collects when you use the website at brdg.now and its API (the "Service"), how we use it and who receives it. It should be read with our Terms of Service. We do not ask for your name, email address or government ID to use the Service.

2. Information we collect

Wallet addresses and signatures

When you connect a wallet we see its public address. If you sign in, you sign a message that proves you control the address; we verify the signature and create a session tied to that address. We never see or store your private keys or recovery phrase.

Transaction data

To quote and track a transfer we process and store its details: the source and destination chains, tokens and amounts, the sending and receiving addresses, the Venue and route chosen, fees, transaction hashes and the transfer's status. Much of this is also public on the blockchains involved.

IP address

Our servers see the IP address your requests come from. Some Venues require the end user's IP address for sanctions screening or geographic restrictions. When you request a quote, and your address is a public one, we pass it to those Venues, keep it with the quote so the transaction is built for the same address, and store it on the transfer record. We use the stored address to confirm that a transfer is submitted from the address it was quoted for, where the Venue requires this. It is not shown on the public transfer status page; only your own signed-in history includes it. We also use IP addresses to rate-limit requests and protect the Service from abuse, and they may appear in our server logs.

Your browser

If you sign in, the API sets a session cookie so you stay signed in. The site also uses your browser's local storage to remember your preferences (theme, accent, settings and favourite chains), your wallet connection, and transfers you have in progress. This stays on your device and is not used to track you across other sites.

3. What we do not use

The Service does not run analytics, advertising or cross-site tracking scripts, and we do not sell your information. Our fonts are served from our own site rather than from a third-party font host.

4. How we use information

  • to request quotes, prepare transactions and track transfers to completion;
  • to show your transfer history, profile and, where it applies, the leaderboard;
  • to calculate and record platform and referral fees;
  • to meet Venue compliance requirements and our own legal obligations;
  • to detect, prevent and investigate abuse, fraud and security incidents; and
  • to operate, debug and improve the Service.

5. Who receives it

  • Venues. To quote and execute a transfer, the Venues we query receive the route details, the addresses involved and, where they require it, your IP address. Each Venue handles that data under its own privacy policy.
  • Blockchains. Transactions you sign are published on public blockchains, where anyone can see them permanently. We cannot remove them.
  • Wallets and networks. Your browser talks directly to your wallet, to public blockchain nodes to read balances and send transactions, and, if you connect through WalletConnect, to its relay. Those parties see your IP address and the requests made, under their own policies.
  • Service providers. Hosting, database, and blockchain node providers process data on our behalf to run the Service.
  • Legal reasons. We may disclose information when required by law, or when we believe it is necessary to protect the rights, property or safety of BRDG, our users or others.
  • Business transfers. If BRDG is reorganised or sold, information may pass to the successor under this policy.

The public leaderboard ranks wallet addresses by bridged volume, so your address and volume may appear there.

6. Retention

We keep transfer records, including any IP address stored with them, for as long as we need them to operate the Service, support your transfers, resolve disputes and meet legal obligations. We do not currently delete them on a fixed schedule. Sessions expire on their own, and you can clear the data in your browser at any time.

7. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the information we hold, including encrypted connections and access controls. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee the security of information sent over the internet.

8. Your choices and rights

You can use the Service without signing in, sign out at any time, disconnect your wallet, and clear the site's cookies and local storage in your browser.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct or delete your personal information, or to object to how we use it. Contact us to make a request. We cannot change or delete data recorded on a public blockchain.

9. Children

The Service is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has used the Service, contact us and we will delete what we can.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the Service changes. When we do, we will change the date at the top of this page.

11. Contact

Privacy questions and requests can be sent to the contact channels listed in the documentation.
